Major lotto victory is one of those things you simply can’t plan, and one fortunate woman from Dublin wasn’t even planning to buy the lottery ticket that brought her a €250.000 prize. She made an impulse purchase and never expected it would lead to this life-changing win.
This lucky lady, who decided to stay anonymous after collecting her windfall, matched the winning numbers 2, 5, 12, 15, 34 and 37 in the Irish Lotto Plus 2 draw on January 5th. She purchased her lucky ticket at the Lidl supermarket, located on Sallynoggin Road in Glenageary.
She was grocery shopping at the time and described her decision to play the lottery as the most inspired impulse purchase she’s ever made. A day before she bought the ticket, this woman and her family talked about a couple from Armagh who collected Euromillions windfall worth €129.000.000.
She recalled this conversation while shopping at Lidl and decided to buy a ticket because she was feeling lucky. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision, and this woman never in a million years expected to actually win. She was in a state of absolute shock after realizing she’s about to collect €250.000. It took her a while to calm down and process everything, but she’s finally ready to start making exciting new plans for the future.
The Dublin resident will use most of the money to pay off her mortgage and other bills. If she has any money left once that’s done, the €250.000 winner intends to upgrade her car to a brand new model.
